Nobel laureate and human rights activist Nadia Murad’s röst almost faltered each time she got close to the unutterable details of her capture bygd ISIS while a young girl in Iraq — how she was forced into sexual slavery after Islamic State terrorists slaughtered her mother, siblings and much of her rural community; the indifference and sometimes betrayal of her neighbors; watching her life and family disappear from the back of a truck as she and thousands of other Yazidi girls and women were taken away to be held as sex slaves.

Sonam Khan (born Bakhtavar Khan; 2 September 1972) is an Indian actress who is predominantly known for her work in Hindi as well as Telugu films.[1][2] A granddaughter of actor Murad, she began her career with the Telugu film Samrat in 1987. She was launched in Hindi cinema by Yash Chopra in his directorial Vijay in 1988.[3]
Sonam went on to star in several commercially successful films, including Tridev (1989), Mitti Aur Sona (1989), Kroadh (1990), Kodama Simham (1990), Ajooba (1991), Fateh (1991), and Vishwatma (1992).

Vishwatma (transl. Universal Soul) is a 1992 Indian Hindi-language thriller film directed by Rajiv Rai and produced by Gulshan Rai. It stars an ensemble cast of Naseeruddin Shah, Sunny Deol, Chunky Pandey, Divya Bharti (in her major Hindi debut), Sonam, Jyostna Singh. The film follows Prabhat, an honest police officer, being sent to Kenya on behalf of the Indian Government to capture the dreaded crime lord Ajgar Jurrat and bring an end to his illegal businesses. Viju Shah composed the music. The Song "Saat Samundar" became a huge chartbuster of that year.
Vishwatma marked Rai's third directorial venture after the blockbuster Tridev (1989) and was initially planned to be a sequel to the same.
