    Bob Jones and the Kansas City Prophets

    I am constantly asked, was Bob Jones a false prophet? Were the other Kansas City Prophets, false? Are there actually any Prophets today? Are there Apostles. I will get to my answers later.

    I first met Bob Jones in the mid 1970's, but the first major prophetic word I heard him give was at the debriefing meeting held by Derek Prince after the '77 Charismatic Renewal Conference. Derek was going over the Conference and talking about where we were going. It was then that Bob gave a word about Kansas City. That it had just gone through seven fat years and was about to enter its lean years. Our church, Agape Fellowship, disbanded a few years after that and Mike Bickle, now of IHOPKC, took its place in the Grandview, MO/Greater Kansas City area.

    A Tribute to Seer Prophet Bob Jones

    On February 14th, 2014, Valentine’s Day, heaven gave a shout as Bob Jones, prophetic Papa to many a friend of Jesus, graduated from this earthbound life, sprouted wings, and flew through the OPEN DOOR. After all, this is the Year of the Open Door! How fitting for this giant to ascend on the day set aside to express love. He is now forever joined with his first love – Jesus.

    I first met Bob Jones during Mike Bickle’s infamous Joel’s Army 21 Fast in May of 1983 in Kansas City, Missouri. I had already prayed for ten years for the School of the Prophets to komma forth. Little did I know the collision course I was aligning myself with that day. Mercy! Michal Ann’s and my life was suddenly redirected with that singular initial meeting with this unusual man who seemed to live in the heavenlies..

    1975 - 2014

    On August 8, 1975 Bob Jones experienced death and stood before the Lord in heaven. As he stood in line awaiting entrance into the heart of Jesus, he heard the Lord asking the same question to each person ahead of him. Bob said, “In death the only question the Lord will ask you is, “Did you learn to Love?””

    All of your good deeds, awards, accomplishments and financial worth accounts for nothing. In the end the only thing that matters to the Lord is love. Did you learn to become like Him? Did you manifest His nature to others in your daily life? Did you lay down your life for your brother and prefer your neighbor before your self?

    The people in line ahead of Bob entered into the heart of Jesus. Bob was prepared to answer “yes” and enter in as well however the Lord raised His hand indicating, “stop.” He told Bob that the devil killed him before his time because he was bringing God’s truth to the church regarding abortion, meth labs, and homosexual disease.
