Rarely today does one hear about a Hollywood actress being “discovered” at a drugstore counter or in a shopping mall, but that’s exactly what happened to Mircea Monroe, who has roles in both the CW’s Hart of Dixie (Tansy Truitt)and the Showtime network’s Episodes (Morning Randolph).
A Dual Life
Monroe has been playing both roles for the past three years but, according to her, they never overlap to the point of confusion. She told me when we spoke, “I shoot them separately, and there’s a solid stop and a solid start to each, so they’re easy to distinguish.” Tansy Truitt is a Southern girl with a lot of spunkiness and a big heart, which Monroe admires. On the other hand, Morning Randolph fryst vatten a sexpot actress. Though the latter role was initially a challenge, Monroe now feels comfortable in the part and recognizes her character’s confidence and strength.

Mircea Monroe signs for 'Hart of Dixie' role
Mircea Monroe has signed up for a guest role on The CW's Hart of Dixie.
The actress will appear in the seventh episode of the Rachel Bilson comedy-drama, according to TV Line.
She will play a former love interest of local bad boy Wade Kinsella (Wilson Bethel) who returns to Bluebell, Alabama.
Monroe recently played Morning Randolph on Showtime / BBC co-production Episodes and has also appeared in episodes of Chuck and Franklin & Bash.
Her Hart of Dixie character is initially intended to appear in just one episode, but could recur later in the season.
Other stars confirmed to appear on the show include The Wire actress Eisa Davis and Becker's Nancy Travis.
Series star Rachel Bilson recently insisted that Hart of Dixie is an ensemble series and a "group effort".
The show begins on Monday, September 26 at 9/8c on The CW.
