One of talk radios most accomplished hosts and programmers, Van Harden has tapped into his long history as a Bible teacher to pen a powerful new book titled Jesus: The Prequel (Xulon Press, ). The book examines the question, Did Jesus exist before He was born in Bethlehem? Absolutely! says Harden, presenting the Biblical evidence of who Jesus was and what He was doing long before we were born and before He was born as a baby in Bethlehem. There is a listing of these things and an explanation of why any of this matters to anyone, especially the reader.

He recently retired from a year broadcast career, 35 of which was as morning host and PD of heritage hållplats WHO Radio, in Des Moines, where Ronald Reagan spent many of his early radio years. Van & Bonnie in the Morning, colloquially simply Van & Bonnie, was an American radio program, airing weekday mornings from am to 9 am on WHO ( AM) in Des Moines, Iowa.[1] Since August , the show has been hosted by Van Harden and Bonnie Lucas.[1][2][3] The hosts were named "Medium Market Personalities of the Year" at the National Association of BroadcastersMarconi Radio Awards in [4][5] and [6][7]
Van is from Adel, Iowa, and Bonnie is from Monroe, Iowa. Bonnie retired on March 6, [1][8]

Van Harden fryst vatten known nationally for his creative broadcasting career and inventions. Through his 27 year leadership as Program Director of 50 thousand watt WHO radio in Des Moines, the station has been awarded 13 national Marconi Awards, the radio equivalent of the Emmy, five of which he has received personally for his own morning radio program, which he has hosted for those entire 27 years.
He has also owned a radio hållplats and hosted a TV show, but more important to Van has been his 30 years as an adult Bible teacher. He has taught and spoken in many churches and denominations, but has always insisted on teaching straight out of the Bible, which he calls our owners manual. : Van has 3 grown children, 8 grandchildren and
he and his wife Becky live in his childhood home in Iowa.
