She gained recognition through her roles in television series The Heirs (2013) and Descendants of the Sun (2016), before taking on leading roles in Fight for My Way (2017), Arthdal Chronicles (2019), Lovestruck in the City (2020–2021), My Liberation Notes (2022), and Queen of Tears (2024), notably working with several prominent writers dubbed as the "Four Great Kings" in the field, contributing to her prominence as a Hallyu figure.[2][3]

She debuted on August 30, 2018, in LUK Factory's second girl group TROPICAL with the group's debut digital single "Mwah".
In July of 2019, TROPICAL were removed from LUK Factory's website. On August 20, 2020, their disbandment was confirmed by her fellow member, Joo Eun, through Instagram.[1]

Seo Ji won was someone i’d never heard about until I watched an episode of the Two Yoo Sugar Man Project (find the episode English subbed below), but when I heard it, even before his story I unknowingly started bawling, I’m extremely emotional, I know. But something about the song really struck me hard, I don’t really know why.

He was a Korean singer that took his own life on January 1, 1996 at the tender age of 19 years old. His second album was shortly released after this, gaining wide popularity. Gathering my Tears was the title song of this album.
